NHL Divisions Winners Prediction Update
If you remember we made a thread on January 28th predicting who we thought would win each division in the NHL and it looks like we might be wrong on a few of those as we head into the last week of regular season play. Our bold predictions in January had the following teams winning their division; Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, Calgary Flames and the Anaheim Ducks. If the season ended today, we would be batting 50 percent, let’s just say we are happy three of those picks are holding true. It’s hard to imagine back then the Flyers would have taken a nosedive as they are now trying to hang onto the 8th position in the Eastern Conference and in the Western Conference the San Jose Sharks have been on fire recently dropping the Ducks eight points from the division lead. What’s great is that the Eastern Conference is still wide open and there will be mass confusion over the final week of the regular season. We just ask that you buckle it in as the ride will surely get bumpy going into these seven days and by Sunday night you can wipe your brow and get ready since the playoffs will soon be starting and you can get your heart racing once again.
